Only $150 for a one and a half day tour cruising along all of the stunning Great Ocean Road from Melbourne to Warrnambool visiting many of the great highlights along this scenic route... Relax and stay overnight in Warrnambool, the largest coastal city at the end of the Great Ocean Road. You have the option of exploring this beautiful city and then leisurely taking the train back to Melbourne. Price includes one full day Great Ocean Road, dinner, breakfast, train ticket back to Melbourne and one night dorm accommodation. What's Included in this Tour ?

One Full day Great Ocean Road, dinner, overnight dorm share accommodation, breakfast and train ticket back to Melbourne. You have the option out departure in the morning or afternoon. Upgrades are available on request and approx $120 for double/twin share.

Day 1 – Melbourne - Great Ocean Road - 12 Apostles

Departing Melbourne we cruise along the stunning Great Ocean Road which winds its way along Victoria’s magnificent south west coast. Wonder at the massive rock formations formed by the sea and beautiful beaches. Visit many of the great highlights along this scenic route.

• Stop at the Great Ocean Road sign and memorial for a great photo shot
• Travel on through the seaside coastal towns of Torquay and Lorne.
• 12 Apostles – Australia’s third most visited tourist site.
• Helicopter rides available over the 12 Apostles (AU $60 optional extra)
• See koala’s up close and personal in the wild.
• Apollo Bay – Seaside resort town for lunch and a stroll along the beach
• London Bridge - Loch Ard Gorge - Bay of Martyrs.
• Whale watching - Winter only

After a full day of activity our overnight stay is at Warrnambool Beach Backpackers, one of the best coastal backpacker hostels in Victoria. Take an evening stroll along the foreshore and watch the sunset over the ocean. Relax and stay overnight in Warrnambool, the largest coastal city at the end of the Great Ocean Road. You have the option of exploring this beautiful city and then leisurely taking the train back to Melbourne, only a 3hr train trip. Optionally, you can extend your stay in Warrnambool for an extra night, or as long as you prefer. (Subject to availability).

What to Bring ?

Sturdy closed walking shoes, sensible clothing as temperatures can vary, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, swimming gear, towel, toiletries, insect repellent, camera, film and money for lunches and snacks.

Upgrades

(Subject to availability and payable to motel at destination). Motel - Twin/Double Approx $125 per room per night.

Departure Dates and pick - Up

• Available during summer season (August 11th 08 - May 4th 09): Departing every Monday and Thursday.
• Pickups: From St Kilda - Cooee Backpackers St Kilda 6.40am , Victorian Arts Centre 7am and in front of Hotel Bakpak (Hotel Discovery) on Franklin St 7.10am

Terms and Conditions...

Smoking and Alcohol is prohibited on the buses. Reasonable level of fitness required for the walks and Adventure Caving.
Cancellation: 30% loss if cancelled from 7 days onwards, 50% loss if cancelled between 2 to 7 days before departure. 100% loss if no show or cancelled 48 hours prior to departure.
Payments and changing dates: Visa or MasterCard details required to hold all 1800 bookings and a 3% levy applies if paying by credit card. Tour dates can be changed free of charge but no changes can be made within 48 hours of departure date. Agents might have different regulations. Feel free to change your tourdates after booking, no charge will be made.
Insurance and liability: Goin South strongly recommends that all travellers have appropiate travel insurance. Goin South will not be liable or responsible for any illness, injury, damages, loss of luggage or personal items however caused occurring of or to the passenger at any time while participating in any part of the tour or related adventure activities.
Personal property is the passengers responsibility and Goin South will not return lost property without payment for postage / handling. (Minimal fee $20.00). All quoted pricing is inclusive GST. (Goods and Service Tax)
